Anthology of Historical Reflections

A KGHS long range objective is to archive historically significant documents and pictures. In 2008, a small committee headed by retiring Superintendent Bob Caine began to invite submissions from past and present school staff and community members. Over the next four years, the collection grew to over 40 articles highlighting key school and community events and personalities from the past 100 years. The small committee grew also, and included local historian Richard Torney, who urged a centennial celebration of the 1914 opening of Kent School. District administration and community participation ensued, and during 2011 that small committee was transformed into the new Kentfield-Greenbrae Historical Society, with a 15-member board and plans for a lively Centennial. Our work continues with oral histories, curriculum in the schools and quarterly newsletters about our rich history.

Historical Reflections is the paperback publication of the Anthology, available for purchase on this website.
